Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG Torri Bakán wine
Sensory notes
Colour: Intense ruby red with delicate purple hues and good consistency.
Smell: The nose releases floral and fruity notes with hints of violet, rose, ripe blackberry and plums.
Taste: On the palate it is intense and reveals perceptions consistent with the sense of smell, black cherry jam, cocoa and coffee, supported by seductive warmth and softness, well connected to a freshness and velvety tannins, a long and mineral.
Harvesting
Born in one of the most suitable areas of Abruzzo, from an ancient vineyard raised in Tendone, at an ideal altitude to guarantee a formidable temperature range and with a magnificent exposure.
A Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG obtained from a strictly manual harvest in mid-October from certified organic farming, which ensures maximum respect for the surrounding environment.
Winemaking
A vinification in thermo-conditioned steel vats, followed by malolactic fermentation and subsequent maturation of 6 months in cement tanks and a further 18 months in large 50hl barrels, to then be bottled in total absence of oxygen and refined for atri 6 months.
How to match our Bakàn Montepulciano d’Abruzzo DOCG wine
It takes time to reveal itself, so we recommend opening it a little before tasting it, at a temperature that varies between 16 and 18 degrees, with a large glass with a wide rim.
Excellent with well-structured and tasty dishes: aperitifs, appetizers, first courses, vegetarian foods, red meats and medium and long-aged cheeses. An Italian antipasto, pasta carbonara, grilled leg of lamb, liver omelette, or a seasoned Abruzzo pecorino.
